The Team Charlotte Mission
Our Goal: Since its inception in 2003 Team Charlotte has been dedicated to offering area lacrosse players the opportunity to travel and play in regional and National tournaments, with the goal of attaining State and National respect among our participants, our region, and their schools.
Our Approach: We are a reality-based program with one simple goal for the player: Make you a better lacrosse player. While we have helped hundreds of our players through the college recruiting process we don’t promise college scholarships or the chance to play for the college of your dreams. We promise only one thing: That you will be a better team player as a result of your association with Team Charlotte.
Our Formula: A Team Charlotte Lacrosse member will be given the chance to develop their skills in a safe, positive and fair environment versus the highest possible competition. We believe that the most effective way for any athlete to improve their skills is to play and practice against the best in their sport. We seek athletes with above average ability that are committed to improving, and have a great attitude.
Our Coaches: Our staff is comprised of local college coaches and some of the best current Charlotte high school coaches. We are local, active coaches, and proud of it!
The Results: There is no denying that Team Charlotte has elevated the play of Charlotte Lacrosse, and the programs that support Team Charlotte are enjoying the benefits.
A History of Success: In the Summer of 2004: Eight of Charlotte Latin’s starters play for Team Charlotte; In the Spring of 2005 Charlotte Latin wins the Private School State Championship.
In the summer of 2005 nearly 20 players from Charlotte Catholic play for one of two Team Charlotte teams; In the Spring of 2006 Charlotte Catholic wins the 3-A State Championship.
In the Summer of 2006, the majority of Team Charlotte is comprised of player’s from Providence HS, Providence Day School & Charlotte Catholic; In the Spring of 2007: Providence Day wins the Private School State Championship. Providence HS plays in the State 4-A final & Charlotte Catholic plays in the 3-A final.
The Choice: We understand that Team Charlotte is not for everyone. But if you love lacrosse, recognize that you get out of a program what you put into it; you’re not afraid to work hard to improve, and want to be the best player you can be, then we‘re probably for you.

Since its inception in the summer of 2003 many of the best players in Charlotte have worn the Team Charlotte orange and blue including: Colin Guy, Latin/ Washington and Lee; Phillip Newton, North Meck/Catawba College; Bobby Chin, North Meck/Wingate University; Fletcher Gregory, Latin/UNC-Chapel Hill; Teddy Schwab, Latin/Hamden Sydney; Brett Bauer, Catholic/Delaware; Griffin Nevitt, Providence Day/US Air Force Academy; Devon Rockey, Weddington/Pfeiffer; Tim Novick, Providence HS/Princeton U; Nate Boling, North Meck/Hamden Sydney; Tyler Hines, Myers Park/Queens U; Eddie Dalton, Latin/Washington & Lee; William Hendricks, Providence HS/US Naval Academy; Brendan Moore, Providence HS/Notre Dame ; Brian Foley, Myers Park/Presbyterian College; Steve Zande, Providence Day/Fairfield; Patrick Mulholland, Providence HS/Army; Zachary Garcia, Providence HS/Queens U.; Westin Wilkinson, Latin/Hamilton College; Matt Leach, Cannon/Greensboro College.; Matt Fuquay, North Meck/Guilford College. |
